Over the past 30 years, Freedom has published articles by leading advocates of psychiatric reform, including the renowned Dr. Thomas Szasz of State University of New York in Syracuse Health Science Center and Dr. Lee Coleman – both psychiatrists who have relentlessly worked to reform the field from within. Freedom has also published views of those outside the profession, such as then U.S. Congressman (later Senator) Steven Symms, whose message of the importance of individual free will is as important today as it was in 1974.
