Provinding Vital Information

Providing Vital Information

Freedom’s unique perspective on events and news has met with the increasingly unique information needs of the public in a society in which we are relentlessly bombarded with information day in and day out.

 F
reedom’s mandate is to present accurate and vital information to the public—in short, the truth. Not restricted by the deadlines of the mass news media, Freedom takes the time to conduct in-depth investigations and corroborate them.

Freedom’s unique perspective on events and news has met with the increasingly unique information needs of the public in a society in which we are relentlessly bombarded with information day in and day out—and sifting through the glut of information can be time consuming and trying. From one edition in one language in 1968, Freedom has grown to encompass 19 editions in 15 countries in 9 languages, from Los Angeles to Moscow, from Sydney to Copenhagen. Freedom has reached millions of readers over the past three decades, and looks forward to reaching millions more.

In addition to its many ground-breaking investigations, Freedom’s coverage has been enriched with articles contributed by a broad spectrum of individuals that has included a variety of U.S. Congressmen—among them Representatives Barry Goldwater, Jr. and Steven Symms, and Senators Mark Hatfield, Joseph Montoya, and William Proxmire—as well as President Bill Clinton and U.S. presidential candidate Ross Perot.

Freedom’s exclusive and diverse interviews have added to the publication’s eclectic composition and history—ranging from John Denver in 1973 on the environment and Simon Weisenthal in 1976 on his exposure of the hidden Nazi past of a political leader, to Norman Cousin in 1980 on chemical and biological warfare and Eldridge Cleaver in 1986 on past FBI director J. Edgar Hoover’s infamous “Cointelpro” program.

Capital Hill at night
’The old must give way to the new, falsehood must become exposed by truth, and truth, though fought, always in the end prevails.”
– L. Ron Hubbard

To match today’s increasing demand by the public for accessibility of information, Freedom has been engaged in efforts to make vital information available on other channels.

These efforts include a number of publications prepared by Freedom or prepared jointly with other organizations. Among the dozens of publications are comprehensive white papers on the Cult Awareness Network (The Cult Awareness Network: Anatomy of a Hate Group) and on the trend of religious intolerance and xenophobia in Germany (The Rise of Hatred & Violence in Germany), more than a dozen booklets concerning government reform, and publications concerning abuses in the psychiatric profession and the pernicious influence of psychiatry in society—such as The Rise of Senseless Violence in Society, Psychiatry’s Multibillion-Dollar Fraud and Psychiatry’s Betrayal: Creating Racism. Freedom also helped to make possible the publication of the books Psychiatrists: The Men Behind Hitler, and Psychiatry: The Ultimate Betrayal.

Freedom also has a large presence on the Internet, where it is a popular site of the Global Scientology Information Center and can be accessed anywhere, by anyone, at the Freedom Mag Homepage.

Freedom looks ahead to future decades of service in the public interest, and making its findings even more widely available.
