Downtown - Olvera Street

On the first leg of their 250-mile trek, runners were greeted on Olvera Street with music and dance — in full regalia — by members of LA’s native Aztec community.

Emphasizing the importance of human rights not just on Human Rights Day, but every day, were Rabbi Allen I. Freehling of the LA City Human Relations Commission (seated); Leisa Goodman, Human Rights Director of the Church of Scientology International; Norma Foster, President of the United Nations Association USA (UNA-USA) Los Angeles-Pacific Chapter; and LA City Council member Tom LeBonge, who gave the “Multathletes” their start.
