Global Dissemination and Help

The L.A. Powerhouse Behind “Stay Well” and Other Humanitarian Campaigns Across the World

The Church of Scientology International Dissemination and Distribution Center is a one-of-a-kind printing and production facility powering the Church’s global help

As Los Angeles, the USA and most of the world were shutting down in the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Church of Scientology was stepping up, with its Stay Well campaign to protect and save lives.

To publish and disseminate the critical information at the core of the campaign, the Church’s international headquarters in L.A. only needed to turn to its powerhouse facility a 20-minute drive down the 101—the Scientology Dissemination and Distribution Center. The Center was well up to the herculean task.

A unique printing and production facility, the Dissemination and Distribution Center houses manufacturing, distribution and administration all under one roof.

A massive 185,000-square-foot printing and production plant, this cutting-edge operation was home for the printing, production and international shipping of all the materials that were a part of Stay Well, in 21 languages—including three separate booklets, signs for homes and businesses, safety equipment for Scientology Volunteer Ministers, and much more.

On the ground, teams of Volunteer Ministers went to work delivering the mainstay resources of the program, the Stay Well informational booklets. On six continents across more than 200 cities, the teams delivered 7.5 million booklets in person to first responders, vital infrastructure and essential businesses. A total of 43,600 establishments were helped to protect their employees, the individuals they serve, and their immediate environment through the resources of the campaign. Concurrently, a series of 21 award-winning Stay Well public service announcements aired on 1,665 stations internationally.

Equipped with a 165-foot-long printing press, the Center runs 24 hours a day, every day of the year. To fulfill needs at the height of the Stay Well campaign, the printing dynamo turned out 17,500 booklets an hour.

The Stay Well materials are available for viewing online and downloading at Scientology.org/StayWell—a resource center tapped by more than 10 million visitors.

In the broader scope, some 11,000 Scientology Churches, Missions and affiliated groups extend around the globe with millions of members in 167 countries. The International Dissemination and Distribution Center emanates the religious dissemination materials including booklets, pamphlets and a host of other literature for all Churches, as well as the renowned educational materials at the heart of the Church’s global humanitarian programs, which have reached more than 500 million people in 50 languages.

FROM THE PRESSES TO THE STREETS: The printed Stay Well Campaign materials shipped to Scientology Churches, from where teams of Volunteer Ministers brought the vital information to more than 43, 000 establishments internationally.

Among the hundreds of other campaign items produced by the Center are the iconic yellow Volunteer Minister T-shirts—the hallmark of the teams distributing Stay Well materials around the world.

In an emerging post-pandemic world, day in and day out, the Center continues to produce everything needed by Scientology Churches worldwide as it keeps pace with requests for its humanitarian resources from educators, drug prevention and human rights specialists, police, community partners and organizations representing all faiths.
