FOUNDER, MACE-KINGSLEY FAMILY CENTER

Carol Kingsley

Carol Kingsley

Carol Kingsley has worked with children and families since 1970. She moved from LA to Clearwater 30 years ago. Her life’s work is the Mace-Kingsley Family Center where “we help families,” says Kingsley. “I love seeing a happy child—flourishing and achieving their goals.

“Even though it’s bigger now, Clearwater still has a small-town feel to it,” she says. “People look out for each other, help each other. People stop and say hello. We have a community built on friendship.”

Listed in Who’s Who in American Education and inducted into Who’s Who in American Women, Carol has volunteered at several calamities in the U.S., beginning with Hurricane Andrew where, she says, “I went there as a Scientology Volunteer Minister (VM) and it changed my life. … I learned something CAN be done about it.” A pioneer in Scientology’s VM movement, Kingsley has counseled victims and first responders at the Oklahoma bombings and 9/11 in New York City, where, she remembers, “People didn’t care who you were or where you came from, as long as you were there to help. Everyone was a team.”

A volunteer with her Clearwater neighborhood group, Carol says, “I have this abundance of love for Mankind, and I know life can be good for everyone.”
